Bloodhound is one of the free-to-play legends in Apex Legends.

Bloodhound is known across the Outlands as one of the greatest game hunters the Frontier has ever seen – and that's about all anyone knows. Their identity is a mystery wrapped in layers of rumors: they are fabulously wealthy, a bloodthirsty murderer, a Goliath whisperer, a former slave, half bat, and a dozen other things depending on who's doing the whispering.

All anyone truly knows is that Bloodhound is a force to be reckoned with in the Apex Games. Bloodhound's unparalleled tracking skills are a boon to any team they join, helping them root out hidden opponents and tracking the enemy's movements. Calling on Earth's Old Norse Gods to guide them, Bloodhound believes that destiny is a path that has already been laid out, eventually carrying all to their death. But with that knowledge comes strength, because until that day comes, Bloodhound knows they can't be stopped.

Personal life

"Technological Tracker" Bloodhound, whose real name, age, and homeworld are unknown, is either "non-binary, or at least non-specified, in terms of gender.

However, they seem to be Icelandic or otherwise related to Old Norse language and mythology because of:

  • Their accent
  • Calling themselves "Bloth Hoondr" (Sounds exactly how you'd say Bloodhound in Icelandic)
  • Saying "slatra" in their trailer (Which means slaughter in Icelandic)
  • Calling "andskoti" to enemies, which is a swear word in Icelandic (Not confirmed)
  • Referring to their raven/teammates as "Felagi Fighter(s)", derived from the Old Norse word "Félagi", meaning companion or comrade
  • Making numerous references to the Allfather, a commonly used moniker for the Norse god Odin

Eye of the Allfather

Eye of the Allfather.png Eye of the Allfather
Type Tactical
Description Briefly reveal hidden enemies, traps, and clues throughout structures in front of you.

Tracker.png Tracker
Type Passive
Description See tracks left behind by your foes.

Tracks and certain other actions leave visible traces and highlights for 60 seconds. Other actions include:

  • Footsteps
  • Doors opened/destroyed
  • Enemies being hurt/killed
  • Item and weapon pickups
  • Emptied magazines

  • When going near tracks, you can call them out to your squad mates using a context ping (default {{#vardefine:console|}}{{#vardefine:key|{{{2}}}}}{{#vardefine:keyboard|h}}[[File:undefined {{#var:key}}.png|20px|Controls]]{{#var:keyboard}}) to share your knowledge with them.
  • Red Tracks are fresh tracks and the enemy is likely nearby.
  • Grey Tracks are old tracks. The enemy hasn't been in that area in about a minute.

Beast of the Hunt

Beast of the Hunt.png Beast of the Hunt
Type Ultimate
Description Enhances your senses, allowing you to move faster and highlighting your prey.

Upon activating, your vision turns black and white and enemies are highlighted in red.

  • While active, you can see through Bangalore's Smoke Launcher smokescreen.
  • Since footsteps are tracked, Beast of the Hunt is a great way of finishing off a weakened enemy.
  • Since enemies are highlighted in all red, it's much easier to see them from long to extreme range. This makes Beast of the Hunt a great scouting and sniping skill.
